Gavin Sherry, a senior at Conard High in Connecticut, took third overall at the Eastbay Cross Country Championships at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego. Sherry, a Stanford commit, covered the 5-kilometer course in 15:17.3 to produce the best finish by any boys athlete in state history at the Kinney/Foot Locker/Eastbay national final.
